Until the birth of my first daughter I searched for my passion in many different places, but with her came purpose and the realization that the things I was best at were the things it took to make a great real estate agent. I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a BA in Poetry and worked as everything from the manager of a hardware store to a paralegal to a chef. Nothing seemed to fulfill me, each had moments where I felt good about what I was doing, but none made me feel like I fit in. The one thing that I found felt right is the thing that makes me an excellent Realtor and coach; a love of helping people. In 2006 I decided to go to school and learn the basics of Real Estate and after looking for the right broker found Exit Realty, now I am a full time agent with the Paul Gillespie & Associates at Exit Preferred Realty. Over time I came to find a unique way to market my clients homes, Maximum Exposure Marketing, employing an active marketing concept. After other agents began to inquire about my methods I decided to write down my strategies and share my knowledge. The result is my soon to be published book (coming February 2015).The Social Media Market Strategy: Active Online Advertising for Real Estate Agents. As with most businesses, the Internet has changed the face of how we buy and sell houses and I embrace this new frontier. Advanced search technologies and the myriad of resources unavailable twenty years ago has created a more informed and savvy client, understanding and using these resources is the only way to provide a client with the level of service needed in today's changing market. I am a student of the Internet age with one foot in the future, but at the same time I know that good old fashioned customer service, things like returning a call in a timely manner and being prompt for an appointment, is just as important.
