KEVIN WING is an Emmy Award-winning veteran television journalist and storyteller based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and Northern California. He is also an educator and a media relations and communications professional. Presently, he is Special Projects Producer at KOVR CBS13 | CBS News Sacramento. Kevin is also a Journalism Professor at San Jose State University. He is also Principal of his production company, Kevin Wing Media Communications. Kevin is an accomplished, passionate, motivated and creative communications professional in television news broadcasting, video production, higher education and public affairs/communications with an Emmy Award-winning proven track record for success, from launching one of the first innovative, local television morning newscasts in the United States to being an engaging, prolific storyteller. A multiple Emmy Award-winning television journalist, he worked 11 years as a Bay Area-based producer for ABC News' "Good Morning America", "World News Tonight", "20/20" and "Nightline". Kevin has expansive experience as a news and feature reporter, writer, anchor, news producer, assignment manager/editor, special projects producer and segment/field producer for Bay Area stations KNTV NBC Bay Area, KGO-TV ABC7 and KTVU Channel 2. Since 2007, he has authored Gold & Silver Circle inductee profiles for the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. With 15 years' public affairs/communications experience, his background includes serving as Director of Media Relations and News for Saint Mary's College of California and as a communications specialist at BART and at VTA BART Silicon Valley.Since 2010, Kevin Wing Media Communications creates and produces public sector and corporate videos and provides communications, public relations and on-camera consultation, along with broadcast production services including livestream and productions for live events. In 2013, Kevin received the Governors' Service Medallion from NATAS' San Francisco/Northern California Chapter for public service, and was inducted into its Silver Circle for career contributions to Bay Area television. He and nearly 300 fellow inductees represent nearly 75 years of Bay Area TV history (1948-present).He has actively served on the Chapter's Board of Governors in numerous capacities, including as Vice President, San Francisco (2012-16, 2020-24); Editor, "Off Camera" (2012-19); and Chair, Archive & Museum Committee and the Media Museum of Northern California (2020-present).
