Serve as a media consultant to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District as it designs and builds its new fire administration building in 2023. The new headquarters will house administrative offices, its 911 communications center, an emergency operations center, board room and the Life Safety Division of the Fire Prevention Bureau. I am assisting the district in developing policy, or a “road map”, which will be designed to ensure detailed, factual information is accomplished. One of the major functions of the emergency operations center will be to collect and disseminate fire and disaster/damage information. As someone who has been very familiar with the San Ramon Valley (Danville, San Ramon) for the last 38 years and who considers the region as my "adopted hometown", I have been asked to serve as a media consultant because the department, recognizing the crucial importance of maintaining a strong relationship with news media, has a critical need to disseminate accurate information and to convey it to the impacted community with the assistance of news media.
