Full-Stack, Hands-On CTO/VP of Engineering with 20+ Years of Experience in Software Development, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Distributed Systems, DevOps, Network Architecture, Go, Python, PyTorch, Unity, Javascript, PHP, AWS, and Linux Development. As an avid technologist and entrepreneur, I began writing code at age nine and my software has since contributed to several high-profile entertainment, infrastructure and publishing systems. I began my career in computer switch maintenance for the U.S. Air Force and soon went on to help create and deploy a Virtual Reality (VR) Indy Car Simulation at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas as a network engineer for Illusion, Inc. As an early member of the technical team at Sandpiper Networks (later sold to Digital Island for $630.5 million), where I was responsible for DevOps, I contributed to the creation of the world’s first Content Delivery Network (CDN), which is still deployed over 20 years later as the Century Link CDN. I would later assume the role of principal software architect, and lead a $5 million, 2 year project to transform the legacy software systems of the Screen Actors Guild to more modern systems, and software architecture, migrating from VAX/VMS to Oracle's E-Business Suite, and J2EE with WebLogic. Following my role at SAG, I was responsible for leading several teams in developing, and deploying the data and billing infrastructure on the Amp'd Mobile MVNO Network (raised $360 million). Prior to my current role at Jetpack, I was co-founder and chief architect at Buzzmedia (originally Buzznet, and later renamed SpinMedia), one of the first social networking sites, focusing on building community around sharing mobile photos, pre-dating Facebook, and Instagram. Buzzmedia eventually transformed from a single social media site into a large network of managed content and advertising experiences, raising over $100 million in 6 rounds of funding.
