Display themes: Gemstones, Geology of Oxford, Vertebrates, British Birds, Botany, Insects and Rocks. · Presentation of papers regarding the work of the Museum at International conferences. · Outreach work including television appearances. · Presentation of lectures to the Oxford Geology Group, the Cheltenham Geological Society and the National Trust. · Managed the `Feeling Good' project with a budget of £729,000 which involved the re-display of invertebrates (56 cases) and systematic fossil collections (34 cases), development of evolution (9 cases) and primate displays (9 cases) and the introduction of large, touchable natural history objects. The project was completed on time and on budget.2000 - 2003 Assistant Curator for the Petrological CollectionsDuties: · Collection of rocks from several localities, Scotland, Norway, Germany, Zimbabwe and USA. · Electronic cataloguing and publication of the nineteenth century MacCulloch collection. · Production of online databases for the MacCulloch collection and Accession Series of Rocks. · Co-supervision of a Masters student studying the mineral chlorophaeite.
