This position required high organisation and problem solving skills. I would teach children and adults between 10 years old and 75+, with groups of up to 12. Requiring classroom sessions, pool sessions and ocean dives, my teaching environment changed often. I would adapt my teaching methods continually as to the requirement of the individuals.
Often I would make split second decisions should there be any issue with safety and would always have to be aware to avoid any future problems, keeping in mind solutions to every possible eventuality before they arise. At the same time I would make the course enjoyable and make the students as comfortable as possible with the sport.

With no class or pool training, I had not only to keep everyone together, solve many problems(equipment or buoyancy), keep some guests from panicking, but also make their trip enjoyable by showing points of interest.
