Manage multiple teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors across beauty and home environment product categories. Quickly grew the team from 4 to 10 full time staff to support increasing scope in the form of new product development. Responsible for rapid iteration and prototyping to evaluate the feasibility and performance of future product concepts from hair stylers to air purifiers.

Managed multiple teams of mechanical and thermal engineers and contractors responsible for autonomous vehicle sensor and module component design, validation, and vehicle integration. Directed mechanical design output, established engineering best practices, developed resource and scheduling plans to execute technical deliverables, fostered coaching relationships with engineers of varying experience levels, and built professional partnerships with stakeholders across the hardware organization.

Managed a team of engineers responsible for all sensor related mechanical design and integration, growing the team from 2 to 12 full time staff.

Led mechanical design of integrated sensor products for next generation autonomous vehicles. Directed dynamic and thermal analysis efforts to validate sensor performance. Designed a custom sensor articulator to enable advanced driving maneuvers. Conducted tolerance analyses and oversaw prototype production and test of XV product. Worked with a cross-functional team to integrate into the next generation vehicle platforms.

Designed indoor grow lights and wireless environmental sensors for vertical indoor farm systems. Led product design from concept to production. Oversaw manufacturing lines, coordinated third party testing and certification, and managed installation and deployment.

Developed and tested novel applications for the Pressure Exchanger (PX) technology. Built analytical models including ANSYS modal and Matlab Simscape flow split studies for high pressure applications. Commissioned field testing equipment including tanks, high-pressure iron, pumps and generators. Responsible for P&ID, HazOps, and controls narrative documentation.

Developed carbon fiber composite pressure vessels for natural gas and hydrogen automotive vehicles. Led design projects from concept to production, directed technicians, mentored associate engineers, and managed suppliers and testing facilities. Designed custom tank end fittings to terminate composite pressure vessels. Iterated through multiple prototypes until stainless steel crimp-style fittings were able to resist internal tank pressures over 30,000 psi.

Designed and built small-scale hydro turbine systems with a focus on machine and test equipment design. Created building layout for pilot power plant project. Designed conduit components including steel weldments over 40 feet long. Performed FEA of conduit system to drive civil engineering load requirements.

Designed roof and ground solar mounting systems. Performed structural design calculations and code checks. Created mechanical drawings, designed simple parts and tested component and connection strengths in lab. Produced renderings and animations in SolidWorks for installation guides and marketing materials.

Taught three discussion sections of introductory calculus composed of over 25 undergraduate students each for two semesters. Responsible for creating lesson plans as well as administering and grading tests.

Worked with field science educators for the Headlands Institute, a campus of NatureBridge, a private non- profit organization. Led activities for up to sixteen children ages 8-12 to inspire a connection to the natural world and responsible actions to sustain it.

Worked with a group of interns at the NASA Robotics Academy to design and test a prototype lunar micro- rover. Worked as a member of the structural integrity group to design the rover and was responsible for its deployment mechanism.
