Operating as a manager within the Sanitary Sewer Overflow Reduction Program (SSORP) in the Maintenance Planning / Operations department at SAWS. Responsible for coordinating across multi-departmental operations ranging from Distribution/Collection (cleaning, O&M, CCTV), Engineering (Master Planning, CIP, Project Management, Contracting), and IT (innovative solutions, project management, software implementation, program integration). We manage one of the largest utility systems in the US (over 5,000 miles of wastewater pipe, over 7,000 miles of water pipe across the greater San Antonio area. As a Technical Planner, I am tasked with pursuing and implementing innovation and advances for current processes and workflows to increase productivity and introduce efficiencies org-wide. Operate as a liaison to our GIS department and IT departments, in such a capacity to discuss and assist in interdepartmental support, how to meet requirements, and manage the deployment of new systems. Operate as a program manager in assisting in program maturity and consistency, developing program reports to brief executive leadership and stakeholders, as well as lead initiatives to push innovation and technology. Conduct research and analysis to identify potential capacity constraints for capital improvement projects (CIP); whilst assessing need and priority to determine ROI and utilizing cost-savings methodologies to maximize impact while saving critical funding. Managing a portion of San Antonio's Consent Decree under the EPA's regulation and purview. Assist in keeping SAWS in compliance related to Consent Decree governance; SSO reporting and resolution, inspection and cleanings, and infiltration/inflow (I/I) reduction system-wide.

Geospatial Analyst responsible for developing United States Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Base Re-alignment and Closure (BRAC) GIS data portfolio, while providing GIS-SME level support for contiguous teams within Booz Allen for GIS integration. Developed BRAC's first Geospatial Data Management Plan, outlining acquisition and maintenance for all geospatial data developed under DoD contracts and standards ranging from environmental remediation to survey-level real property transfer. As Project Manager, responsibilities included managing a team of GIS Analysts, maintaining project scope and milestones for client deliverables, managing client expectations, implementing new management principles and approaches such as AGILE management practices. As a client-facing consultant, beyond the hard technical skills, soft skills such as communication, engagement, support integration, and high-level task management are required from a day to day perspective.

As a GIS Technician under the Data Management Office in the Watershed and SUE Dept. tasks for the city included: subsurface utility engineering (SUE; involving utility mapping at appropriate quality levels, utility coordination, utility relocation design and coordination, utility condition assessment, utility design, et al) and storm water infrastructure involving Travis County watersheds. Analog data migration into digital format via geographic information systems; developing processes in data migration from micro fiche, survey plats, engineering survey maps, and other paper-form documentation, to be recreated digitally for analyses and future land use development assessment and land use / land cover change evaluation.
