Test and troubleshoot PCB assemblies to component level. Provide maintenance and repair on McGregor built testers as well as Teradyne in-circuit testers, National Instruments Lab Windows & LabView systems. Also provide backup IT support.

Responsible for server and software deployments for Concordance Evolution test builds in both physical and virtual environments. Managed VMware vSphere ESXi servers and virtual machines. Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, SQL Server, IIS, Vivisimo Velocity, Informative Graphics Redact-It and Brava.

Responsible for administration and daily maintenance of 7 servers and 60+ workstations, TCP/IP network, firewall, telephone & voice mail system, etc. plus purchasing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing all PC’s and printers on site, also provided remote support to our out of state users using VNC and RDP. Managed the corporate wide VPN mesh comprised of 8 Sonicwall Pro/SOHO appliances. Maintained user and device access rules. Monitored network and system status using Big Brother monitoring software. Also developed and maintained network topology diagrams using MS Visio. Maintained EDI software and trading partner relationships.Accomplishments: I Installed Dayton’s corporate network and custom built their main enterprise Unix server utilizing RAID 5 arrays and other redundant components. Also installed and configured Request Tracker support ticketing system. Assisted in installing Sonicwall firewalls and configuring point-to-point VPN access between the Dayton office and several remote facilities. Most recently I was involved in migrating data from a legacy Unix based manufacturing system to a new Windows based system. Led the effort to re-purpose old, outdated PC’s for use as thin-clients which saved our company several thousand dollars in reduced equipment purchases. This method was soon adopted by some of our other locations.

Responsible for developing test fixtures and programs for printed circuit board assemblies using automated test equipment, primarily GenRad 2272 and HP-3060 board test systems. Made extensive use of GPIB instruments, Lab Windows, and QuickBasic.

Assisted the design engineer with breadboarding circuits, fabricating PC boards and troubleshooting SCA radios. Also performed alignment and repairs on the SuperFox line of radar detectors, CB radios, and police scanners.
