The vision of TERI is to become an internationally recognized center of innovation and social change for children and adults touched by special needs throughout their lifespan.To achieve this vision, TERI is embarking on our most ambitious project to date, the creation of a state of the art campus. The first facility of its kind, the Campus of Life will be a true center of excellence in the education and empowerment of individuals with developmental disabilities. The knowledge and innovative approaches generated on campus will be shared with our outside partners to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities the world over. Set on 20 acres in San Diego County, the campus will provide an inspired and therapeutic environment for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The agency has been recognized as a model program in the State of California for the quality of services it provides to this population. In addition to TERI's social enterprises, the agency relies on donations from the community and foundations in order to continue to set the highest standards and ensure an uncompromised quality of life to this population.

Solutions for Change is a social enterprise that solves family homelessness by equipping families with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to permanently break their cycle of poverty. I started at Solutions as a "For Impact Associate", I was later made Marketing Communications Associate and then promoted to Marketing Communications Manager. In 2014 I was promoted to Workforce Development manager and began working on the program/operations side of the organization.Duties as Marketing & Communications Manager:• Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of marketing and communication strategies with the ability to think out-of-the-box about engaging constituencies across diverse communities and digital platforms• Developed and executed campaigns aimed at keeping our stakeholders informed and engaged ensuring a high rate of donor retention• Assisted the Executive Vice President in creating and overseeing the marketing budget and finances; oversaw purchases with a commitment to being efficient with our resources• Led projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events including annual gala featuring Condoleezza Rice (2011, net $1.3M), Rudy Giuliani (2012, $1.7M), Mrs. Laura Bush (2013, $1.25M), and Dr. Ben Carson (2014, $1.2M)• Developed, implemented and monitored systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing functions while ensuring that it can be delivered well on a repeat basis by others

Social entrepreneurial and development work through the Social Entrepreneur Corps in Ecuador.• Implemented the vision of an Ashoka Fellow through expansion of the Micro-Consignment Model in Latin America• Provided organizations, small businesses, communities and individuals access to targeted assistance, information and resources in order to help them become more effective and efficient in achieving their respective missions• Empowered local communities and community members with new ideas, skills, and resources• Enacted positive social and economic change• Improved the opportunities and living conditions for people in rural areas by providing products, services and information that promote sustainable economic and social development

• Worked through the government’s Pay it Forward grant program with the Entrepreneurship Department of the Farmer School of Business and Children, Inc. to grow their social entrepreneurial division, Growing Sound• Conducted extensive market research enabling greater penetration of Growing Sound’s niche markets• Developed a strategic and tactical market plan aimed at reaching the parent market and improving visibility in this area • Increased the company’s presence and effectiveness through social media networking

• Conducted significant research including survey distribution, field observation, and in-depth interviews• Created, explored, and evaluated innovative solutions to the Cintas charge over the course of the semester • Presented the team’s findings and suggestions during multiple rounds of eliminations• Presented at the finals to a full auditorium which included a panel of 17 Cintas senior partners and executives

• Built and maintained relationships with corporations, student organizations, local politicians, and the university• Acted as a liaison between our chapter and larger statewide and national efforts• Restructured recruiting practices leading to a 50% increase in new members in 2007• Organized and managed canvassing and phone banking during the 2008 election season

• Professionally crewed a 65-ft catamaran sail boat on adventure trips in the Florida Keys and served as a lifeguard responsible for passenger safety • Provided assistance and instruction to over 100 passengers per trip and educated guests about the coral reef ensuring its protection and preservation

• Responsible for the education and wellbeing of over 10 kindergarteners during weekly class sessions • Developed and taught creative lesson plans over the course of the entire school year
