Driven by a passion for Data Science and a fascination with AI, I’ve dedicated my academic and professional journey to implementing cutting-edge solutions for practical challenges. I’m Kexuan Chen, a data analyst with a research background in deep learning and large language models, coupled with hands-on experience in data analysis. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Information System Management, specializing in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to CMU, I was a Research Assistant at Beijing Normal University, publishing a paper at the AAAI conference. My work focused on rapid and safe drug prescription assistance in urgent clinical scenarios. Our team collaboratively developed a cycle transformer with cross-attention mechanisms, effectively reducing drug interactions in prescriptions. This experience deepened my understanding of deep learning and highlighted challenges like AI explainability and dataset harmonization, particularly with electronic medical records (EMR).During my Computer Science degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, I gained hands-on experience as a Data Analyst Intern at Beijing Yidao Boshi Tech Company. In this collaborative environment, my team and I tackled real-world data challenges, such as high-precision optical character recognition, which honed my expertise in machine learning and computer vision.Post-internship, I published two research papers and undertook various data and deep learning projects. A significant project I worked on was creating a GPU job scheduling model using reinforcement learning for cloud computing.
