I started in technology as a communications infrastructure guy (ISDN). I have been a risk governance advocate for years, and I've had the privilege of successfully deploying enterprise risk, cybersecurity, and data privacy programs for some amazing organizations. I make the world a better place by helping organizations large and small elevate risk governance. Whether it is executive education, consulting, or my Cyber Strategy Retreat conference, my work focuses on deploying a curated risk appetite framework allows the board and senior leadership to make informed decisions about what risks to accept, what risks to avoid, and how to operate within acceptable risk boundaries. The goal is always to equip organizations to satisfy the legal obligation for the duty of care and ensure court-directed remedies resulting from a cybersecurity or data privacy incident are minimized as much as possible.Good governance produces good business outcomes - especially for reliability, availability, and safety that helps my clients deliver what they promised to their customers and stakeholders.
