During my brief tenure at KPMG India, I served as a Consultant in their CFO Advisory practice, specifically in the Accounting Advisory practice. In this role, I contributed to various critical functions, including:Accounting Manual: I provided valuable assistance to a government entity in Karnataka involved in mineral extraction and electricity production. My role involved aiding them in the preparation of their accounting manual in accordance with the Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS). I also collaborated with their SAP team to configure their systems to align with IND AS standards, ensuring a seamless transition to the new accounting framework.First-Time Adoption of IND AS: I played a pivotal role in guiding an entity engaged in technology consulting through their initial adoption of IND AS. This involved helping them navigate the complexities of transitioning to the new accounting standards.Accounting Advisory: I provided strategic advice to one of India's largest e-commerce entities in optimizing their accounting processes, with a particular focus on revenue recognition and compliance matters such as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS). Additionally, I supported them in successfully closing their audits and finalizing their financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.My experience at KPMG India in the CFO Advisory practice allowed me to work closely with clients on intricate accounting and financial matters, further enhancing my skills and contributing to my professional growth.

After obtaining my qualification as a Chartered Accountant, I embarked on my professional journey as an Assistant Manager with M/s. Mukund Rohit Chartered Accountants, specializing in their Assurance Domain. During my tenure in this role, I had the privilege of conducting audits for a diverse range of entities, including:Electricity Transmission Company: I conducted a comprehensive audit of an electricity transmission company, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Manufacturing of Glasses: I undertook audit assignments for companies engaged in the manufacturing of glass products, providing a thorough assessment of their financial operations.Trading of Jewelry and Diamonds: I had the opportunity to audit businesses involved in the trading of jewelry and diamonds, scrutinizing their financial records and operations.In addition to these audit assignments, I also gained valuable experience in conducting tax audits for various private companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs), and partnership firms under the Income Tax Act. This multifaceted experience broadened my professional expertise and contributed to my growth as a Chartered Accountant.

Following the completion of my article ship, I continued my journey with the firm for an additional year and a half, assuming the role of Senior in the Assurance and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code division. During this period, I undertook various responsibilities, contributing to my professional growth:Statutory Audit: I had the opportunity to conduct statutory audits for significant projects. This included auditing one of the largest dams in the country, ensuring compliance with legal and financial standards. Additionally, I conducted statutory audits for entities involved in the distribution of power generation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC): My experience extended into non-traditional fields such as the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. In this capacity, I took charge of managing all aspects of accounts and finance for corporate debtors. This encompassed maintaining meticulous financial records, overseeing financial reporting, and liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in facilitating the auction process and the sale of assets, whether on an individual basis or as going concerns for entire entities.This phase of my career allowed me to broaden my horizons and develop a strong foundation in areas beyond traditional auditing, particularly in the intricate landscape of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code proceedings.

I completed my article ship at M/s. JLN US and Co., a reputable mid-sized Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm with a notable presence across India. During my tenure with I worked in following areas 1. Statutory Audits: I conducted statutory audits across various sectors, including power generation, distribution, and transmission. Additionally, I audited one of the largest private industrial banks in the country. This experience allowed me to work with a wide spectrum of entities, from large corporate giants to small and medium-sized enterprises.2. Internal Audits: I delved into the intricacies of internal audits, working with notable government entities in the mineral and iron ore extraction sector. This involved scrutinizing internal controls, processes, and financial records. I also audited a government flagship entity responsible for strategic document printing, such as passports and currency notes. My experience extended to auditing entities engaged in power distribution and private companies producing transmission towers.3. Compliance Audits: I conducted compliance audits for private companies, one of which was involved in the production of transmission towers for energy distribution, while the other specialized in the generation and sale of green fuel.4. Transaction Audits: My responsibilities included auditing the books of accounts for transaction fees, particularly related to rent and lease liabilities. I undertook this role for a logistics-focused entity.5. Concurrent Audits: I carried out concurrent audits for various banking branches, including those involved in forex operations for one of the largest public sector banks, branches handling MSME loans, and branches of regional rural banks.6. Taxation: I managed tax compliance by filing returns under both the Income Tax Act and the GST Act. I also provided support to entities in meeting their compliance obligations under these acts and conducted audits under both tax regimes.
