Responsible for the management of the joint GRH/SMGH Histology and Cytology Laboratories and management activities for the Clerical Office in accordance with policies and procedures outlined in hospital and laboratory manuals.

- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements - Develop, coordinate and monitor Integrated QA/TQM activities through the use of key lab quality indicators - Prepare and present quality reports and audits as required- Identify opportunities to LEAN, standardize and integrate QMS documentation for OLA and regulatory compliance- Develop and manage the laboratory education, training and competency assessment program- Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of PoCT equipments and Quality Assurance for each program- Consult and liaise with the professionals and clinical users of the laboratory at all levels collaboratively to ensure quality improvement

Prenatal Screening Program And Point Of Care Testing

- Manage the human, financial, and capital resources of the section to ensure effective and efficient workflow. - Develop and implement PoCT eLearning and training program for nursing staff.- Supervise clerical and technical staff and provide technical and functional guidance as required.- Maintaining positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders of Prenatal Screening Program and Point of Care Testing. - Respond in a timely manner to customer concerns or complaints as required by the department; ensure appropriate documentation and communication processes are maintained.

Rapid Response Laboratory

- Evaluation and implementation of new instruments, procedures, methods and technologies.- Assist and be a resource person in processing of external QC surveys as assigned.- Prepare maintenance schedules which have the least effect on clinical service and ensure staff compliance.- Provide technical expertise in investigation and resolving problems - Develop SOPs, staff training program and staff bench schedules
