I manage a team of 10-14 Engineers (UI/Web and Backend) which delivered on a large scale green field project that makes corporate travel efficient for majority of the fortune list of companies.I work closely with Technical Product Managers, UX designers, and Architects to make Air Travel microservices driven by UX design.I have the ability to partner with Engineers at all levels from new graduates to highly experienced for growth and success both individually and for the team.I led the optimization of resource utilization which reduced infrastructure costs by thousands of dollars while efficiently operating the product to service an increasing number of clients and thus requests.

Lead the rewrite of a pricing module on AWS- Led the POC evaluation phase of the solution involving cloud native technologies like AWS Glue, Lambdas, SQS, and dynamodb- I introduced BDD testing using Cucumber and pytest-bdd for new features being developed on the team.- The shift from right to left in the testing approach helped us get to market faster and saved engineering time in addition to reducing fatigue.

I led a team of 7-10 developers of Airvision Revenue Manager. I led the cloud deployment work for the product. The application modules are deployed on Amazon AWS. I also led the REST API development. The APIs are implemented using Spring with resources being persisted in MongoDB. My developer responsibilities included development using BDD style testing with integration tests written in Spock and Groovy-based JUnit tests, build monitoring, code reviews, and refactoring. My leadership responsibilities include leading a team of 8-10 people and I am responsible for feature function releases on the product. My responsibilities include planning for a roadmap and executing on that in an agile environment. I developed services that exposed hotel and air shop and book functionality to corporate mobile clients of Sabre (GetThere). The data exchange was done in json. The services developed in Java and Apache Camel are hosted on Servicemix ESB.I also developed RESTful APIs and applications for making travel better for consumers. The REST APIs are developed in javascript on node.js utilizing riak as the no-SQL datastore.

Worked on a enhancing a financial application (Asset Control), this is used to centralize communication from JPMorgan to external sources of securities related information. Wrote custom modules for data processing in Java using Asset Control API. I implemented SCM using McCabe Truechange and defined build processes. Was responsible for production support, documentation and knowledge transfer to the support team.Environment: jdk 1.5, Java Swing, JDBC, Asset Control API, Truechange, PVCS, Sun Solaris, Ant.

I worked on CSW (Client Service Workstation). CSW is an intranet web application that supports the Health and Welfare services of Fidelity via Web Service to other applications and via UI. Its nearly 2300 users can work on client data in a variety of ways. For e.g. users can load and edit plan year data for medical and dental plans for a client, generate reports, run custom queries, fix errors etc. I developed enhancements and bug fixes for different modules of CSW using J2EE and Struts. I enhanced session management to be handled by a background thread. RyderOnline. The RyderOnline suite of applications facilitates load and shipment tracking & entry for various clients in RyderTrac. It provides visibility and execution tools in RyderFlow and RyderShip. RyderFlow is an online inventory visibility tool, providing information on inventory, items, orders and receipts across a network of physical locations. I developed enhancements and fixes for both RyderTrac and RyderFLow. Developed RyderShip, a web based, tender application that facilitates carriers’ needs to accept freight offered by Ryder. As Ryder offers freight to carriers, the carrier is alerted via email of the load, and can then accept or reject the load online. For an accepted tender the carrier can then print a tender document online, in a PDF format. Programmed using J2EE technologies (EJB, JDBC, JAXP, JSP and Servlet) and wrote database procedures, functions, triggers and packages for the above tasks.Environment: JAVA, J2EE (JDBC, EJB, JSP, Servlet, JAXP), JUnit, Oracle 9i (9.2.0.4.0), HTML, XML, WebLogic Server 8.1, Windows XP, UNIX, Subversion.

CBAS project. Developed enhancements for two web applications (CBAS Telegence and CARE), which allows service personnel to perform the following 1) Activations - single, multiple (bulk) 2) Customer Service – Equipment Upgrades, Rate Plan and Feature Changes, Contract Acceptance automation, Selling Phone/SIM and Accessories, Account and Mobile Maintenance, Address Change etc. Developed and implemented J2EE components that communicate with middleware (CAM, Telegence, QuickPay, and Compass APIs) and with Oracle 9i database. Specifically worked on: 1. Implemented validation routines that would check customer eligibility for 7-7 calling features of a Rate Plan and Feature change and new activation modules. 2. Account and mobile information maintenance on the customer service part. 3. Kaiser HIPAA project. The project involved making existing applications compatible to X12 standards using XML as the standard data format. I implemented XML DOM parsing using Java as well as EDI parsing using Java. Involved in XML Schema design and developing a ‘mapping-tool’ application using Java Swing. Generating XML (transformation) documents using the mapping tool, essentially transforming a transaction per X12 standards to be understood by the existing applications. Involved in importing and exporting XML documents to and from DB2 database. Also programmed an application to export transactions in XML format to IBM MQ Queue. Writing SQL scripts/queries for DB2 and stored procedures for Oracle. Deployed Servlet on Apache HTTP server and Tomcat 4.0 & 5.0.
