Services include research, training, project management and proposal writing, editorial and dissemination support. My role with MDR includes: - technical coordinator for the CARARE project, a best practice network funded under the European Commission's ICT PSP programme to make digital content for the archaeological and architectural heritage accessible to Europeana. - project manager for PATHS, a research project funded under the FP7 programme to develop personalised access to cultural heritage in digital libraries.- project manager for DigCurV, a project funded under the Leonardo da Vinci programme to establish a framework for vocational education and training in digital curation.

In my role as Digital Preservation Specialist I provided expert advice to the Archives and records management service, to Departments across both Houses of Parliament, and to the Parliamentary ICT service. I was responsible for carrying out an requirements analysis of the business needs for digital preservation, and the IT systems and processes involved. I acted as project manager using my experience in planning, problem solving and team working to support to the Assistant Clerk of the Records (Preservation & Access) in developing the forward programme to implement Parliament's Digital Preservation Strategy and Roadmap.

My role involved project management and offering ICT advice. I involved in a range of European ICT initiatives across the cultural heritage sector including CALIMERA, MINERVA, BRICKS and MICHAEL, and for providing support to the UK representation on the European group of national experts on digitisation.

I was responsible for completing a review of English Heritage's information management system.

I was seconded from English Heritage to work at the ADS on the PATOIS project, as editor to the Guides to Good Practice Series and then as coordinator for HEIRNET (the Heritage Information Resources Network).

My work with English Heritage involved liaising with local authority Historic Environment Records, offering advice and support particularly on the development of heritage information systems.
