Primary products include galvanized steel tubes and pipes, steel and PVC electrical conduit and fittings , armored wire and cable, metal framing systems and building components, serving a wide range of construction, electrical, and mechanical applications.

Reporting to the CEO and responsible for leading the human resources function for a $1.0 billion specialty metals distributor with approximately 1700 employees in North America, Europe and Asia.

Reports to the President, North America and leads the human resources and office administration functions for a division with 1,200 employees and annual revenue of $1.5 billion. UPM is a global forest products manufacturer with $14 billion in annual revenue and 27,000 employees in 15 countries with global headquarters in Helsinki and North American headquarters in Chicago. Directs strategy development and tactical project management globally. Holds additional North American responsibilities including succession planning, recruiting, labor negotiations, organizational design, training, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS (SAP), legal employment matters, ISO 9001, office administration and real estate. Direct reports include director benefits & compensation, 2 unit HR directors, HRIS manager and office administrator and 24 indirect reports.

Responsible for strategic direction of corporate HR function supporting 12 union and nonunion manufacturing and distribution facilities with 3,800 employees in the United States, Canada and Mexico with annual revenues of $580 million. Managed legal matters, labor relations, compensation, safety, workers’ compensation, training and development, organizational design and general HR policy issues. Interfaced effectively with CEO and Board on multiple projects.

Managed HR function at 6 manufacturing locations with 1,200 employees in five states with annual revenue at $450 million.

Responsible for developing campaigns against union organization for corporate clients, litigating unfair labor practice (ULP) charges and advising clients on matters of labor and employment law.
