I started working in tech at the age of 2 when my father sat me down in front of a computer. I learned my ABCs, how to type, and then basic math. Dad was a software chip engineer in chip analysis failure. So, you could say that testing for failure is in my blood. I grew up in tech and evolved with it. I learned how to navigate the back end and had a passion for a hobby that would eventually become my career.Looking to find a company that would trust my abilities, I found myself at QualityLogic where they hired me as a temporary Test Technician (entry-level). Even without experience or a degree, they had confidence in what I could do. After 10 months, I was promoted to full-time with benefits. I was hooked. My focus at the company was functional testing and I soon became a project lead. I transitioned to analytics with Paul Morris as my mentor (I could not ask for a better one). I love big data and I have helped grow many teams to where they are now. I took over as Project Manager mainly focused on WCAG Accessibility and all kinds of manual functional projects which is where I am now.I have been working in tech professionally for over 8 years. I started entry-level in software QA, and quickly found that I could excel and thrive in the tech industry. I moved up quickly to project leadership, then project management where I have been ever since.I've been working as a Project Manager for 6 years now, and strive to become a Sr. Manager with enough real-world experience. I thoroughly enjoy working with the many folks within my teams, as well as the people I connect with when servicing project needs. My methods in leadership include a holistic view of the project, the people within it, and how those things work together to create something beautiful. I love to foster talent when I've identified that someone is truly passionate and driven within one of my projects.I have personally trained dozens of people in QA methodology, people skills, and time management skills. Good communication can solve almost any problem. I have trained many Project Leads, some of which have gone onto become successful Project Managers as my peers. I believe in finding the right person for the job, and assisting them in their career growth. It creates a win-win situation for my project needs, and for that person.
