In my most recent role as the Vice President of Revenue Management (RM), the span of control and responsibility was vast. The Yellow RM team of nearly 1,200 members operated in three countries, was responsible for all order to cash programs plus accounts payable, procurement and W&I (weighing and inspection) - for the entire family of Yellow brands (YRC Freight, Holland, Reddaway, New Penn and Yellow Logistics). Over the past two-years, the RM team participated in the successful movement of the four LTL (less than truckload) carriers into a single operating environment. At the same time, RM assisted in migrating the company to a new ERP, and worked to modernize antiquated programs/applications with newly created in-house or purchased replacements.My education, work and personal experiences have provided me with extensive organizational, communication, analytical and technical skills. Over the past years, I've worked in both Peoplesoft and Oracle ERPs, and software programs such as FIS GetPaid (accounts receivable collections and dispute resolution), BillTrust (payment processing and cash application), Hyland OnBase (imaging and content management), Salesforce CRM (customer relationship management) and a variety of other cloud-based and on-premises programs and tools. The Yellow RM team consisted of hourly union and non-union, salaried and contract plus BPO (business process outsource) resources. Yellow operates in the US (including US territories), Canada and Mexico which has exposed me to regulations and laws required to operate in each. When I accept a any new challenge, I'm all in! As you can see by my work and community involvement history, I'm no quitter. I worked for Yellow for nearly 40 years; holding eight positions from entry-level to Vice President (I only applied for one of these positions). I held my Mayor appointed Kansas City Human Rights Commission post for over 25 years. I was the Vice President of the South Plaza Neighborhood Association for 10 years. I am happily married to my partner of 20 years; we have a son and two grandchildren. We love traveling, camping, hiking and biking.
