Built a world class, award-winning, T&D and clinical education department from 3 to 67 full-time employees between 2003-2017. Created a comprehensive new hire sales representative training curriculum that increased the year-one on boarding process from 3 days to 52 days. This standardized on-boarding process contributed to a reduction in annual turnover from 24% (2003) to 6% between 2005-2017.Developed and launched a sales force management development and succession process that increased field-sales to management promotions from zero between 2000-2005 to more than 30 between 2005-2017.Created a culture of sharing best practices internally and externally. Our compliance training “videos” are now being used for internal training at more than 50 other organizations including the Office of Inspector General.Restructured a customer clinical education and consulting team that resulted in increasing full time head count from 25 to 40 and decreasing part time head count from 97 to 26 between 2012 and 2016. This staff restructuring reduced clinical education expenses as a percent of sales supported by 16.5% while sales revenue concurrently increased by 25.5% over the same time period. Launched a clinical education fee for services business growing annual revenue from zero dollars in 2012 to 2.6 million dollars in 2017. Launched the Health Economics Outcomes Research Team, which generated 21 peer reviewed abstracts/posters and published manuscripts between 2014 and 2017.Forged the first industry-practice education outcomes research partnership with a 504-bed non university affiliated teaching hospital in 2013. Positive study results were broadly disseminated via four peer reviewed scholarly publications, four peer reviewed scientific abstract/poster presentations, and one textbook chapter.

In my Simulation-based Program Design for Mastery Learning course (TLT394), students learn how simulation-based, advanced computer applications can be used as cognitive amplification tools by immersing students in “authentic” problem-solving or deliberative practice environments to gain new knowledge or skills. They learn how to decide when designing, integrating and using simulation-based, advanced computer applications makes practical sense for both teachers and students. They learn how to design or integrate appropriate simulation-based, advanced computer applications to achieve optimal learning outcomes. And they learn how to design performance assessments to measure return on education. Did the time and effort required to design and execute a simulation-based lesson or unit achieve the desired results? Did teacher + student + simulation-based technology = a qualitative upgrade in student performance?
