Selected to participate in the U.S. Department of State's 2022-23 Community College Initiative program at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for one year. The CCI Program builds participants' technical and soft skills in applied fields. It enhances their leadership capabilities and strengthens their English language proficiency. CCI candidates are nominated for participation by the Public Affairs Department of the U.S. Embassy or the Fulbright Commission in eligible countries.Personal Achievements/Accomplishments:- Served the local community and the college's food pantry through 100 + hours of volunteer work- Occupied a leadership position at the college's newspaper (Communique) as an opinion Editor and Staff Writer.- Won the Code-Meshing paper writing Competition 2023- Initiated a Community Impact Project that focused on the use of Reusable Sanitary pads for females- Participated in the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge implemented by IREX, and supported by the J.
