Friends of Vinh Son is a non-profit organizations, providing support for over 700 Montagnard children who live in 7 orphanage sites in the Kontum/Pleiku area of Vietnam. For over 20 years, FVSO donations have funded food and medicine, dental care, education, clean water, and so much more.

Before forming Viet Dreams, Khac-Quan had been serving as musical coordinator for US-based NGO International Children Association (ICAN) since 2007, in charge of promoting projects, raising funds, finding supplies, organizing concerts and charity events. In summer 2010, he and his team successfully raised 172 bicycles, 172 helmets and 400 back-to-school gift packages for disadvantaged children in Vung Tau, Hue, Kien Giang & Quang Ngai - Vietnam. In 2010, Khac-Quan founded Viet Dreams foundation and have installed more than 285 clean-drinking water systems at more than 285 of schools, orphanages and community centers in Hue, Danang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Kontum and Gia Lai, benefiting more than 105,000 underprivileged kids.Starting to play music at the young age of 4, Khac-Quan was then professionally trained at the National Conservatory of Music in Hanoi for 14 years, and later joined the Symphony Orchestra of Hanoi. He has appeared in many programs by Vietnamese Productions such as Asia, Van Son, Thuy Nga and Kim Loi. He also participated in musical fund raising events for NGOs like ICAN, VNHelp, Saigon Chamber Music, Hope for Tomorrow in Washington DC and annual recognition of Vietnamese-American VANG. Khac-Quan also holds Bachelor degree in Information Technology and Master degree in Information Management from University of Phoenix, USA. He is now working as an Administrative Systems Analyst for IT department (mainly in charge of Online Education Department) at Ohlone College, California.
