As Public Relations Officer, I focus on crafting and managing communication strategies to enhance the UDSM Debate Society's image and brand. My responsibilities include:•Media Relations•Event Planning•Content Creation•Social media managementThe main goal is to create thriving relationships within and outside of our society.

As a member of the Programmes and Events Committee, I was responsible for organising all debate activities and events. This includes (but isn't limited to) physical and online debate tournaments, debate showcases (our flagship being Think & Orate, held monthly at the University of Dar es Salaam), and debate trainings. My responsibilities included:•Conceptualising each event•Structuring and managing each event's logistics (venue, itinerary, date, etc.)•Creating the budget for each event•Event execution and monitoring•Post-execution activities (evaluation and reporting)

Consumer Business Unit (CBU)Working in this department, has allowed me to dip into multiple facets of marketing as a whole.Working with the Sales & Distributuin Management team allowed me to participate in the logistical aspect of things. I placed purchase orders, did physical stock-taking at the main warehouse, and reviewed contracts between Vodacom Tanzania and its distributors.With the Branding & Communications team, I was opened up to to the world of promotional strategies and ideas; including social media content creation and management, product launches and campaigns, promotional material and so much more.Finally, with the Retail & Terminals team, I learned about how Vodacom reaches its customers with their products. From the channels they use, to the KPIs set, to the training and procedures for Vodacom customer service providers.

I helped conduct a series of questionnaires on behalf of the university for a study regarding COVID-19 and its impact among students in higher education institutions. These questionnaires were answered by students at the University of Dar es Salaam.

During my time at EduKwanza Consultants Ltd. I was a programme counsellor for students attempting to study abroad. My main areas of focus were universities in Malaysia, Mauritius, Turkey and Cyprus.In addition to successfully submitting applications for students, and getting a few successful admissions, I managed to establish contracts with universities in these areas.
