About Khai Dang

Inspired to improve patient's quality of life and to serve the community. Learned and practiced developing innovative biomedical device through student projects (e.g. Ethiopia Spacer project, Social Innovation Design Lab, and Clinician Lead Intern Program). Learned and self-taught the foundation of Python, Solidworks, and MATLAB through LinkedIn Learning, UMN Classes, and FRC high school robotic. INTERESTSWhat I learned: COVID-19 pandemic highlights the unmet needs for nurses in the hospital; Lacking affordable medical equipment (e.g. Pediatric Inhaler Spacer in Ethiopia, oxygen tanks in India, device manual in Uganda) might still persist in low-income communities; Radiation is a concern for many interventional radiologists. As privately as I am now, I am inspire to lead, learn, and engineer innovative solutions for one un-met need at a time.
