Khaidzir is a Registered Valuer, Estate Agent and Property Manager, Chartered Property Surveyor and International Certified Valuation Specialist by profession with over 30 years' working experience in the UK and Malaysia. Graduated in 1988 from University of South Wales, he started his professional training in 1986 in the City of London with a big four property consultancy firm and upon graduation, with a London Borough Council.Upon returning to Malaysia In 1990, he joined reputable property consultancy firms and gained further experience in the areas of valuation, research and consultancy, estate agency and property management. Subsequently, he entered the corporate world involved in the whole spectrum of property development; responsible for strategic and development planning, business development, brand management, marketing and sales, customer relations, asset management and investment; with conglomerates such as Johor Corporation, Sime Darby, Golden Hope, UEM and Lembaga Tabung Haji. In 2009, he joined IRDA using his vast experience in the real estate industry to facilitate the transformation of Iskandar Malaysia into a smart metropolis and digital economy. He is now the Managing Director of Ian Scott International in Malaysia spearheading its expansion throughout Asia Pacific. A fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) UK and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and member of the Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents & Property Consultants in Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS), the Business Valuers Association Malaysia (BVAM) and the International Association of Certified Valuation Specialists (IACVS); Khaidzir has been very active with other associations too such as FIABCI Malaysia, serving as an Evaluator for the Malaysia Property Award; Real Estate & Housing Developers Association (REHDA) and Malaysian Association for Shopping & Highrise Complex Management (PPK Malaysia). He has served as a Councillor (for multiple terms) as well as the Secretary General (session 2023/24) for RISM, appointed as a Registered Assessor of RICS since 2005 and served in NAPREC Expert Panel in the field of Real Estate Development & Finance.He received the RISM Excellence Awards in 2019 for the category of Outstanding Writer on Property & Construction.
