Oversee the work of the construction supervision team to ensure the completion of the project as per the contract. The primary responsibilities are as follows:• Ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.• Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all technical functions of the project and monitor site staff performance. • Manage construction supervision, quality control, financial control, hand over and other site operations.• Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project cost, schedule, performance or Client relation.• Identify specific problems that have occurred, and the proposed solutions by the Contractors, as appropriate.• Coordinate with all concerned parties on all construction (and design) issues.• Chair the progress meetings with the Contractor and report on issues, as necessary.• Check and certify progress payments to the Contractor.• Set and monitor duration of submittal review and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, etc.• Ensure Site Safety Monitoring wherein the monitoring activities, meetings, reviews, safety violations, rectification measures, and accident reports are included in the Monthly Progress Report.• Communicate with a range of people including the client, subcontractors and suppliers.• Prepare Change Orders for all ‘Additional’ and ‘New’ works.• Provide final approval to Works and arrange handover and manage the contract close out activities.
