 Project leader for the implementation of the RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) system introduced by Central Bank of Egypt, I successfully and smoothly managed the project till finalization. Project leader for the launch of Floating Rate Certificate (FRC), I was able to lead the project till the successful launching of the new product. Plan, supervises and control entire range of operational/support activities/functions relating to Operational activities of branches including 9 branches over 3 different geographical locations in Egypt with over 300 employees with 25 direct reporting branch managers and Operations Division departments heads. Ensures strict adherence to the Bank’s policies and procedures and also that of the regulators. Follows up on the exceptions for rectification / ratification. Ensure effective onsite and offsite support to the branches in routine and non-routine operational matter. Reviews processes, procedures and systems to ensure that opportunities for improvements are identified and makes recommendations for implementation. Plans for introduction of new operational procedures and system developments. Responsible for overall operational risk control relating to Egypt Operations Division and Branches. Provides input to the Country Manager for development of the annual departmental budget and monitors performance against approved levels, ensuring any variances are appropriately addressed. Develops and motivates Egypt region staff to enable them to meet objectives. Plans and coordinates on job training to branch staff on operational matters and new systems / enhancements.
