Amman In Jordan And Taez In Yemen
Below a brief description of my responsibilities:Oct. 1983 - Oct. 1984: Execution, operation and maintenance of electricity distribution networks from LV up to and including 33 KV. I was based in Jordan Valley District being one of NEPCO distribution districts.Nov. 1984 - Aug. 1985: Design, tendering, specifications, material procurement, evaluation of bids, projects management, follow up and reporting for all of NEPCO distribution districts. During this period I had an active role in Tendering, bid evaluation and projects follow up for all distribution projects. I was based in NEPCO head office in Amman. I always succeed to meet targets in various tasks assigned to me within deadlines.Sep. 1985 - Oct. 1986: Performing the training course mentioned above with NORWEB (Northwestern Electricity Board), Based in Chorley and Manchester.Nov. 1986 - May 1993: Back As in 1984-1985 plus sharing in NEPCO international services, one main task followed deeply by me was preparing tender documents, specifications, offers evaluation and awarding for an electrification project in Yemen (235 villages, from LV up to 11& 33 KV). June 1993 - July 1998: Consultant Resident Distribution Engineer, based in Taez, responsible for project management, execution and handing over to local authorities of the project mentioned above. Yemen is a tough country in terms of culture and geography, however I played a potential role in compromising between various stake holders needs which lead to finalizing this project in the most successful way ever in Yemen.
