Led three different student inputs to highly successful proficiency results in the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) and Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) exit exams. Utilized all available technologies (the Internet, Adobe Acrobat Pro, YouTube, SharePoint, SAKAI, Smart Board, and other Web/Podcasts) on a regular basis. The MacBook Pro and iPad have tremendously enhanced my evolving knowledge about the effective use of technology in pedagogical endeavors, such as mLearning activities and other apps that promote learner-centeredness, foster interaction and collaboration, and differentiate instruction in terms of learning content and process. Assisted the LTD members in determining that course curricula and materials implemented by contracted teachers help students reach mastery of a task list (aligned with their course objectives) and achieve higher levels of proficiency. Analyzed course critiques and recommended course modifications. Prepared narrative reports and statistical tables for higher command. Led and motivated a team of academic specialists, highly inexperienced in the field of curriculum design, to take on a monumental task of devising and publishing, in just six weeks, a 28-week, generic curriculum for four intermediate level language courses in target languages none of us spoke.
