- Provide direction to staff in the creation and preparation of weekly maintenance schedules for a multidiscipline workforce.- Actively coach and mentor planners to improve overall skill base and annual leave relief capabilities, inclusive of resource succession planning.- Responsible for the management of all the maintenance plans at SGM, ensuring that the maintenance work complies with statutory and local engineering standards and requirements.- Track progress, promote adherence to plan and drive improvement and awareness.- Ensure that the learnings from maintenance activities and breakdowns are fed back into the maintenance schedules.- Create and maintain Data & reports about Planned Work Orders and backlog files.- Create, maintain & analyze Data, Reports about Down Time for critical equipment.- Prepare a rolling 18 months forecast of major component change outs according to the equipment maintenance strategies.- Work closely with budgets and finances to help reduce costs.

- Ensure safety considerations are given top priority in work order planning.- Adherence to all health, safety & environmental standards.- Assist with implementation and maintenance of PM programs.- Planning and scheduling of maintenance work for all maintenance crafts.- Run weekly planning/scheduling meetings with supervisors to determine short- and long-term priorities and plan plant shutdowns.- Maintain complete and accurate records/plans using Mainpac system (CMMS).- Develop and provide user training for CMMS to ensure highest quality work orders are produced and maintained.- Review all planned work requests from assigned area and determine validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority.- Ensure all materials, information, tools and Labor are available prior to scheduling.- Obtain and organize all information required for the crafts to perform the work: drawings, vendor manual, supplemental instructional materials & special procedures. Supplement this information by preparing any additional sketches, drawings, diagrams, notes, or any instructional material which will clarify the work to be performed.- Identifies and secures all parts and material required to complete the work by providing stores with a Kitlist for the work order and any special kitting instructions.- Liaison between the maintenance & operation departments to ensure the area or facility in which they are assigned receives professional maintenance service in a timely manner with high equipment availability and performance.- Manage the status of workflow and backlog for work order submission to work order completion.- Development and routine reporting of asset maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).- Continuously improves the job estimate, planning and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors, maintenance leads, production supervisors, engineers and all resources involved.
