* Responsibilities as Head of Design Department :- Analyze with team the technical scope of tender documents, challenge the processes in coordination with our client, produce the basic design and prepare the tender technical documents. - Plan and design preliminary sketches for enclosed spaces within the institution while advising the team on space planning, layout and utilizing furnishing and equipments in coordination with requirements.- Performing document controlling and archiving of all project related documents in a systematic manner.- working on material boards and bills of quantities and FF&E Boards with samples and fabric swatches, Submittal of specification sheets and FF&E books including all reference and details for all selections.- Closely monitor my team of technicians, designers, and FF&E assistants inspector / engineer performance and advises them in case of deficiency or poor performance.- Attend Technical Meetings with Contractor, and Weekly Progress Meetings if required.- Ensure fun coordination between all other disciplines / Trades has been carried out for all External and Internal MEP services.- Make sure that CONTRACTOR has submitted the Method Statement, Quality Control Procedure,inspection&Test Plan prior to stating the relevant activity.- Review As-Built drawings related to his discipline as submitted by Contractor.
