Serves as the central hub for acute medical care in the region with several primary and secondary health services available. Specific units within the facility include a comprehensive stroke center, internationally recognized trauma center, an adult burn center, and programs focused on several medical areas. Director of Regional Anesthesia Key Advisor within the facility with a concentration on providing exceptional care to patients requiring anesthesia due to various medical issues and/or procedures. Design and implement internal best practices, ensure regulatory compliance with federal and/or state regulations, and identify potential areas for improvement. ► Supervise a team of 5 Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners which requires providing individualized coaching and guidance along with managing either performance or disciplinary issues► Maintain administrative needs within the department such a scheduling, policy development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards► Member of Anesthesia Council which is tasked with providing counseling/feedback for complex patient and/or operational issues► Instrumental in the planning and execution of the Regional Anesthesia section in the facility which had 500 blocks in 2008 and currently has over 3,000 blocks ► Subject Matter Expert regarding anesthesia for burn patients, high-risk obstetrics, and critically ill patients► Attained revenues of hundreds of thousands of dollars with facility fees of over a million dollars
