•Worked with a team of engineers in Research & Development to design a rigid elevator car test frame for mechanical strength tests.•Achieved elementary level in Italian.

• Participated in a group project to design and build a prototype for a paper cutter in inkjet printers.• Led the cutting mechanism and work table aspects of the project, by conducting research into existing products and possible improvements.• Attended workshop sessions to modify the printer into a cutter.• Contributed to the final report and presentation.

•Assessed the performance of different stainless steel implants in artificial humorous bone fractures, by carrying out loading tests.•Captured images at different stages of loading with a 3D scanner. Analysed images then created a simulation, using Geomagic software and ABAQUS respectively. Provided a detailed Geomagic tutorial for future participants.•Obtained 3D bio-extruded scaffolds using an electro-spinning machine. Also worked with powder bed inkjet 3D printer.
