Worked with United Nations World Food Programme at sub Office Hyderabad/ Karachi as Field Monitor from January 2003 to May 2007. I was mainly inducted in the team of Field Monitors to implement the drought emergency operations (EMOP) in the three districts of Sindh, where 1, 57000 beneficiaries were provided food assistance for three months. During first six months of assignment focused on identifying partners at district level, preparation of lists, identification of FDPs, random verifications of lists to ascertain eligibility of beneficiaries and selection of focal persons for receiving food consignments, witness distribution, preparation of final EMOP report and liaison with different stockholders. After completion of drought EMOP, I was responsible for the WFP Immediate response emergency Operation (IR-EMOP) to assist the district authorities in three rain/flood hit areas of sindh province .During this (IR-EMOP),I liaised closely with the district authorities in the commodity logistics, distribution and disbursement of funds. Conducted assessment survey of rain-damaged districts of Sindh province including cost of damaged structures, causes of huge damage.
