Dr. Khalid Siddiqi is Professor Emeritus of Construction Management at Kennesaw State University, Khalid is serving as Chair of the American Council of Construction Education entrusted with the task of granting accreditation to BS & MS Construction Management Programs in the US, Canada and now worldwide. Khalid served as the Chair of Construction Management Department and also lead the College of Architecture and Construction Management as college’s Interim Dean. Prior to his academic career spanning twenty-five years, Khalid served the Construction Industry in various capacities in organizations for fifteen plus years. His industry experience involved working with architects, developers and contractors around the world in his employment with the World Bank, US Army Environmental Policy Institute, Public Housing Development, Master Planning, managing Building Permitting agencies, and working for Structural Engineering firms.Khalid’s professional construction industry experience includes fifteen years in granting building permits, enforcing code, developing public and private housing, constructing cement and prefabrication plants, serving as a project management consultant for numerous World Bank financed infrastructure and institutional development projects. He was the primary investigator and author for Strategic Technology Policy for the U.S. Army’s Global Readiness at the U.S. Army Environmental Policy Institute. In his professional career Khalid coordinated the efforts of architects, contractors, clients and local communities for construction of apartments, condominiums, and industrial construction projects.
