Corporate Hse Manager
Lead and monitor HSE activities to provide assurance to the Country Chairman and Country Leadership Team regarding HSE compliance with the Shell Control Framework, promoting a proactive culture and striving for Goal Zero with HSE excellence.Develop and implement an HSE strategy aligned with the Shell group, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for the Shell HSE management system. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and implementing the Health and Safety Policy applicable to all employees, including both Shell staff and contractors.Engage and participate in studies related to new and existing projects/facilities, including soil and groundwater assessment for environmental impact, HAZOP, HAZID, and community impact assessments. Provide assurance of compliance with Shell policies and procedures. Foster a culture of incident reporting and increase awareness through incident alert notifications, actively engaging staff to promote a proactive approach to incident prevention.Participate in incident investigations to identify control measures and extract lessons learned, facilitating knowledge sharing with a wider audience to promote organizational learning from incidents.Developed a HSE dashboard for Vision 2021 focus areas, such as road safety, contract management, ethics and compliance, and emergency response. Regularly update the country leadership team on key performance indicators and progress in these areas.Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement to drive continuous HSE performance enhancement.Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and stakeholders to stay abreast of evolving HSE regulations and industry best practices, and ensure compliance.
