"A language that doesn't affect the way you think about programming, is not worth knowing." -- Alan PerlisWith over two decades of experience in software development and a unique background in motion graphics, animation, and filmmaking, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to the tech industry. I've worked on a diverse range of projects, from leading Martha Stewart Crafts' iOS app development at Callaway Digital Arts to applying agile methodologies in Apple's Operations Organization. Senior Ios EngineerCallaway Digital Arts 2011 - 2012the first in-house developer, i was a key part in an effort to begin developing their applications in the New York office, along-side their creative team. my first project at Callaway (Martha Stewart Crafts for iPad) would be one of my greatest challenge as a developer, requiring me to dig deep into all of my experiences from other disciplines to find solutions to difficult problems. everything was a brand new frontier for me: building a creative tool from scratch, hiring then leading a team and many things in-between that stuff developers don't think about. the experience shaped me, preparing me for future responsibilities. -

Flash DeveloperOgilvy 2005 - 2005New York, Ny, Usas an in-house contract developer i started off working on banners, then was given the opportunity to work with one of the creative teams to build a flash based game for IBM -
Flash DevTribal Ddb Worldwide 2003 - 2005London, Gbthis was my very first real agency gig. this is when i started to get freelancing. i was brought in to work on a Jose Cuervo project that needed complex animations with synchronized audio in flash banners. after that i was brought in on numerous projects for several clients: Dentine, Cannon, Neutrogena, Phillips, Norelco, NY Lottery and more. this hired gun style of working shaped me over the following years. as a i went from project to project (and agencies), working with different teams. the constant change and tough problems honed my skills quickly. -
Flash DeveloperCheil Communications 2002 - 2003Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, Usthis gig was a milestone in my life on a few levels. it was where i made the transition from designer to developer. we were still using Actionscript 1.0 and 2.0 was brand new. working primarily on banner ads for samsung, the was bar was high standard that animations to look great and be extremely lightweight. we were doing up to 32 resizes for each banner with varying requirements. 25k was a big banner at the time. so i had to become more efficient at animating in code. this was a new rush for me and i've been hooked since. -
Video Editor / Motion Graphics Artist / Dvd AuthorMedia Blasters 2001 - 2002Usthis was fun mostly because i got to work with anime, horror and martial arts films. my actual job was editing: cutting trailers, synching english dubs, preparing footage for DVD from licensed movies and tv shows. as usual, i wore a couple of hats. not because they demanded or even expected it. i was on fire at the moment and was so anxious to create things. design them. animate them. multimedia was emerging and i was right in the heart of it. i'd convinced my bosses to let me produce their monthly promotional DVDs. up until this point, they were just stringing trailers that auto-played in sequence. i created new animated titles (in english) and created themed menus. then i started to build micro-sites (in flash) for the major releases. if you've never working in video, you spend alot of time transferring footage in real-time.. a whole day could be spent dumping tapes. so i needed stuff to work on for my own (opinion of) sanity. -
Graphic Designer / Technical SupportSteinberg Talent 1999 - 2000i had the pleasure of working with numerous talented comics and actors. designing flyers, business cards and websites for the management company and clients. by default, i was also the general mac tech support person, helping the network office and migrate from classic macs to the candy colored iMacs. the funny thing is i stopped by the office several years later and they were still running same machines. :-)
