Profile bio

About Khalil Henderson

As a double Neuroscience and Psychology major and Deaf Studies minor, I hope to gain experiences that will allow me to discover my specific passions in these fields. I am currently interested in developmental research and hope to pursue the career path of a neuropsychologist, or go into clinical psychology practice. I am extremely interested in investigating how socioeconomic status, racial discrimination, and other factors play into the mental development of children, and in the future, I hope to help expand the psychological research field beyond the W.E.I.R.D spectrum.Aside from my academic accolades (College Board National African American Recognition Award, Horatio Alger Scholar, QuestBridge Scholar), I participate in a multitude of extracurriculars, hobbies and community service opportunities. I have a very strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and hope to continue volunteering for organizations striving for increased equality and broaden research on that topic as well.
