I have most recently been a Laboratory Technician IV(S) in the Brown Lab at the University of Rochester . Before that I served in the US Army where I also worked as a Research Technician. Although I have been fortunate to serve at stellar institutions of Research (University of Rochester and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research) and have acquired a very specialized set of skills and training, I wouldn't want that to be all you see when you consider me for a position. My work in the past as a Nurse's Aide and Home Health Aide has given me a strong set of interpersonal skills that has enabled me to work well with vulnerable patients all along the healthcare spectrum, and healthcare professionals at all levels to bring quality service to whatever clients I have worked with. As a soldier, I learned to be adaptable to various training modules and modalities and this has greatly improved my ability to learn new skills in short order. As a result, I bring a large set of specialized skills to the table along with even more intangible qualities such as dependability, organizational skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, positive work ethic and attitude among others. In short, I am as comfortable in a technical/laboratory setting surrounded by machines and equipment as I am in an office or bedside providing personalized care or service on a one on one basis. Please allow me to put all of my years of varied and versatile experience to work towards making your institution even more productive and positive.Should you bring me in for an interview, ask me about my first day of Basic Training.
