Conducted therapy and diagnostic evaluations under clinical supervision on the following teams: -ACE Team-Adult Community Enhancement: The ACE Team's emphasis is with adults with neurogenic disorders. Clients typically have suffered a stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, or memory loss. The focus in therapy is on developing functional communication through the use of multiple modes (i.e. speech, writing, gestures, written choice, augmentative input and/or assistive devices). The ACE team provides individual and group therapy.-CHILD Team: The CHILD Team's emphasis is with children with communication disorders, ages 3-19, and their families. Children served by this team have a wide range of language, literacy, and/or articulation delays or disorders. These communication disorders may be concurrent to other specific disorders such as autism, learning disabilities, or cognitive disabilities. Specific services are provided in individual and group sessions designed to meet the child's needs.
