This is where I learned all there was to know about internet software development and my first serious foray outside of Client-side game / visual projects. From exposure to open-source technologies, early work on Eclipse, sales calls for business development, co-defining a product innovation / entrepreneurship practice (Enliven), and managing the offshore development center of online gaming company WagerWorks (now IGT). The founders and managing director of Lisle Tech form a outstanding pool of mentors.

My brief sojourn in a purely commercial role, selling infrastructure software in the Indian industry. I generated many leads into mid-size Indian businesses, but unfortunately I could not translate into sales. The experience thought me the importance of product positioning and the power of rapid prototyping when selling to non-technical teams. In the end, I encouraged the founders (UK based) to consider India as a reliable development hub, before a marketplace. ThinkingApplications then set-up their first development center in India at Mangalore, led by my brother, 5 years ago.

The opportunity that put me at the genesis of the game industry in India. The experiences gained include delivering a AAA PC game title for Infogrames (now ATARI), running the digitization operations for Dorling Kindersley, and incubating online games team for Flash, WildTangent and early mobile tech (WAP, Palm development).
