Awarded a research fellowship with Dr. Genna McNeil to assist her in her research on Joan Little, Black women in political movements, and sexual violence inflicted onto Black women• Researched hard-to-find articles discussing the State of North Carolina vs. Joan Little Case which was instrumental Dr. McNeil’s book• Coordinated and scheduled archival appointments at Emory University for Dr. McNeil to analyze crucial documents I discovered• Presented research findings to the SLATE Undergraduate Research Symposium of 150 participants

• Developed a COVID-19 survey, using SurveyMonkey, to understand and document the impacts COVID had on 150+ nonprofits in the state. Will present findings to the North Carolina General Assembly.• Designed a Capacity Building Survey to establish relationships amongst existing and new agencies.• Compiled data of North Carolina nonprofits who received PPP loans, from a survey released by the U.S. Small Business Administration to help make the case to state budget negotiators to include a new grant program for these recipients.
