Khamis AlAbdali is currently the Technical Director of Energy Development Oman (EDO), overseeing all technical aspects of EDO's oil and gas business, with a primary focus on Oman Block 6 operated by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).With over 20 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry, Khamis has held various technical, managerial, and operational roles.Previously, Khamis served as the Development Director of Mubadala Energy, where he led the development of the company assets in Thailand, including subsurface development, exploration, drilling, well intervention, and digital data management. Khamis joined Mubadala Energy in 2013 and has since gained extensive experience in technical and leadership positions. Before his tenure in Thailand, he was seconded to Tatweer Petroleum in Bahrain, where he managed a reservoir management team responsible for the development of key reservoirs in the Bahrain field, encompassing well and reservoir management, new wells delivery, secondary recovery development, and integrated business planning.Prior to Mubadala Energy, Khamis held significant roles with Petroleum Development Oman and Dubai Petroleum Establishment, focusing on reservoir engineering tasks such as well and reservoir management, waterflood development, reservoir surveillance and modeling, drilling operations, business planning, reserve estimation, and forecasting.Khamis holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK, and a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University, UK.
