How can humanity, as a collective superorganism, thrive through technology, culture, and connection? I’m a builder, dreamer, and relentless optimist wanting to help 8 billion people move toward survival, happiness, and evolution.To understand how to do that for the superorganism, I've first had to understand how to do that for myself.2013–2018 (Lahore, PK): SurvivalElectricity and WiFi weren’t guaranteed, and my family of five shared one room. I slept on a mattress on the floor. Won a scholarship to Lahore Grammar, one of the country's top schools, and served as Head Boy. Failed my first World History exam but later finished #1 globally out of 80,000 students. Spent two years reverse engineering the SAT with no resources to get a 1590. Joined the Pakistan Math Team. Overcame extreme introversion through years of public speaking, culminating in winning Harvard MUN. Grew a small non-profit, Parho Barho, from scratch.2018–2022 (Stanford, CA): HappinessGrinded to design empathetically and grow communally. Built transformers (generative AI) as a Stanford CS undergrad before GPT was cool. Created a web app for the United Nations to match over 30,000 refugees with donors. Became a better listener to volunteer at the BRIDGE mental health center. Advocated for first-generation and low-income students as an elected Stanford senator. Conducted research on chronic kidney disease at the Stanford King Center for Global Development.
