Asteria Aerospace the second largest indigenous drone company in India. It does all its manufacturing at its Bangalore facility. I was responsible for the electronics of all Asteria products. Be it the avionics of the drone, the electronics of the ground station and any other electronic accessories. I worked in close collaboration with the system engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, project management and business development teams to achieve the unanimous goal of prototyping, designing, testing, validating, manufacturing and delivering reliable quality drones to various customers.

I was responsible for the embedded hardware function at Asteria. This involved electronic design of drone avionics and the ground station. I was also responsible for the electronic integration of all peripherals, wiring harness design and manufacturing support.

I was responsible for the electronic design of all mechatronic platform products. The products that I designed were multi axis gimbals. The electronic design for these products included electro-optics capture and control, digital video pipelines processing, digital video transmission and motion control. All the electronic was designed to comply with MIL-461E certification.

I was responsible for the electronic design of all pan-tilt units. The electronic design for these products included power supply, power conversion, power control and motion control. All the electronic was designed to comply with CE certification.

I was responsible for the electronic design of a wearable gaming device for kids. The design was centred around an ARM A8 microprocessor that interacted with a network processor and a bluetooth smart SoC. All the gestures and pedometer functionality was implemented using an accelerometer. Users interfaced with the device using an LCD and user feedback was achieved via haptics and RGB LEDs.

My role was to design, test and validate electronic designs for various client projects. The projects that I worked on were an software defined radio base station and a LTE-WiFi dongle.

I was responsible for the electronic design of a 7 inch tablet and a 4 inch smartphone prototype. Both designs were based on an application processor from a leading OEM.
