As a research assistant at McMaster’s Collective Intelligence lab, I researched and co authored two papers on quantum contextuality. Under the mentorship of a mathematical physicist, Dr. William Sulis, our work focused on collective intelligence systems, including ant colonies, and searched for quantum like statistical patterns in their decision making behavior. The experience honed my skills in scientific writing, data analysis, and collaborative research.Key Responsibilities and Achievements:Mathematical Physics, Probability Theory, and Statistics: Spent two years on self education and coursework relating to mathematical physics and probability theory to meet the exacting standards of the collective intelligence lab and academic peer review.Literature Review and Data Collection: Conducted literature reviews to familiarize myself with quantum contextuality and collective intelligence systems. Gathered empirical data on decision-making behaviors in ant colonies to lay the foundations for further research. Data Analysis and Computational Modeling: Developed Python scripts for rigorous data analysis, including testing for quantum contextuality in cyclic systems of rank 4. Employed bootstrapping techniques for error calculation and parameterized computational models.Publication and Scientific Writing: Co-authored two scientific papers published in Entropy and Natural Systems of Mind.Collaborative Research and Teamwork: Participated in biweekly meetings with my mentor to remain aligned on major research problems.Journal Coordination: Helped organize a special issue of the scientific journal “Mathematics”, focusing on Process Algebra and Collective Intelligence Architecture.

As a research assistant working with the benefit of the Undergraduate Student Research Award, I collaborated with a historian and an economist to apply quantitative methods to the study of history. Together, we examined the development of international maritime arbitration and had a paper accepted by the Cambridge University Press Law and History Journal (publication expected in Winter 2025). Key Achievements and Responsibilities:Conducted Document Analysis: Summarized thousands of pages of legal documents related to maritime arbitration.Prepared Written Reports: Produced regular written reports on maritime arbitration.Collected and Analyzed Data: Gathered summary statistics on 203 arbitration courts, and profiled 39 firms and 461 legal professionals specializing in maritime arbitration.Published Research Findings: Contributed to a paper soon to be published in the Cambridge University Press Law and History Journal.Coordinated Team Efforts: Attended meetings and coordinated with team members to ensure alignment and progress.
