My primary task is to ensure that the company runs as smoothly and effectively as possible. I spend most of my day reviewing my projects' procedures and protocols to try and remove any weaknesses in the company's business and make the operations run smoothly. Supervise human resource activities, such as determining staffing requirements, interviewing, hiring and training new employees.Additionally, determining needs, reducing costs and analyzing areas requiring improvement are also some activities that I perform. To maximize efficiency and improve profitability, I direct and coordinate financial and budget processes. I also establish and implement project/department goals, procedures and policies including leading the CMMI, CMMC, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certification efforts of the company.NuAxis Innovations is an IT services company with a long standing history of successfully delivering mission-critical solutions to the Federal Government and large enterprise customers. I am also responsible for the Information Security at the NuAxis Corporate office. I research, develop, implement, test and review our information security posture in order to protect business and institutional information and prevent unauthorized access. In this role I support the NuAxis Program Manager on-site at Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (formerly known as Minerals Management Service, MMS) United States Department Of the Interior in Serling, VA. The service comprises of three distinct agencies:- Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE)- Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM)- Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR)While on-site, my day to day duties include managing stand up of the newly awarded program, manage all aspects of project activity to include performance, metrics, partners, and promotion of the contract. Manage teams of NuAxis support personnel at multiple customer locations including the main location in Sterling, VA (BSEE), New Orleans, LA (BOEM) and Denver, CO (ONRR). Maintain and manage the client interface at the senior levels of the BSEE management. Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensure conformance with program task schedules and costs. Meeting and in most cases exceeding contractual obligations and SLAs. Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, and complex and inter-related project tasks.

Managing a team of Business analysts, Software developers and architects working on the TOOLS-Migration Initiative SDLC project. Project objective is to find an alternative for the current Financial System of Food and Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) at USDA. The aim of the project is to improve financial management performance by efficiently providing USDA with a modern, core financial management system that provides maximum support to the mission. Implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to replace the legacy Excel spreadsheet system with an advanced, Web-based financial management system. The solution needs to comply with Federal accounting and system standards and provides general accounting funds management, and financial reports.

Manage a team of 18 Systems and Network Engineers for NuAxis. Responsible for hiring and managing the team members. Providing guidance, keeping track of projects, managing project deadlines and keeping cost under budget. Supervise staff, direct work assignments, and initiate personnel actions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, goal setting, developing Individual Development Plans and performance reviews. Providing status reports on the projects and overall program. Present new projects and technologies to change control committees and to upper management.

Managed a team of 5 Systems and Network Engineers for NuAxis (a Federal Contractor). Mid-Large size secure data center located in Washington, DC. Data center housed more than 320 servers, HVAC, APC UPSs, and backup power generator. Duties included, interfacing with DOI ESN (ISP) for troubleshooting service wide network issues such as OSPF routing, BGP issues and port connectivity problems. Lead the team and assist other team members in resolving issues to Cisco 6509 and 4500 master switch VLAN trunking, VLAN configurations, Campus network backbone performance issues and Cisco and Sonicwall firewall configurations. Manage NetContinuum (now Barracuda Systems) for website load balancing, protection from SQL-injection, Cross-site scripting and other web based vulnerabilities and hacks/attacks. Manage team collaboration website on SharePoint services. Network Operations Team Lead, working with internal and external management in problem-solving and recommending technical alternatives and appropriate actions. Providing network support to clients using Microsoft Windows 2003, Linux and Active Directory based networks. Monitor systems consoles for problems, manage systems availability, production scheduling and control, generating standard operating procedures (SOPs), service level support, administration and controls, equipment operation, backup recovery, procedural documentation, and execution of the disaster recovery plan. Monitor network and critical equipment and services using IP-Monitor.
