Working in the Shark Hair Care Team. Developing multiple hair styler products. Helped lead a team of engineers (in US and oversea) to deliver different Hair Curler designs. Growing the Curlers catalog from 2 to 7 in various regions. Responsible for designing FlexStyle and FlexFusion products, using CFD results, lab testing results and user experience to guide the designs. Managed FormLab 3D Printer Lab. Working on an Augmented Reality Headset that is used for training purposes and in the Operating Room. Duties include: design housing for electronics, PCB enclosures design. Collaborating with Electrical Engineers, Suppliers, and Technicians in the product development phase. Designed and built test fixtures to perform a life cycle testing for some of the headset mechanical components. Get familiar with many medical requirements and ratings while designing and testing. Using SolidWorks extensively. Gained a solid understanding of 3D printing technology (PLA, SLS).

Worked with an R&D department to create a new Laser Product. Duties include: Testing different optical resonators; Designing and 3D printing components for experiments (on SolidWorks). Gained experiences in the Optics industry and Opto-mechanical design (Kinematic design…) Used SolidWorks extensively to design custom machining parts and the assembly of the final product. The parts include: Mirror mounts, Mirror mount fixtures…Gained a basic understanding of how a Laser works and its mechanical properties. Designed an optical setup that produces 1000 mW of laser output power.

Built a test bench to conduct experiments with conductive fibers. Helped developing an Arduino code that can stretch the fibers, measure the resistances, lengths and forces. Improved the code so that it could give the reading many times over short intervals, then take the average value. Developing a method to synthesize fibers for the use of smart materials. Started to gather some good prototypes.

Created electrical components' mechanical models on Solidworks. Did ECO (Engineering Change Order) based on requests by VICOR engineers, so it basically means changing dimensions in different models and/or drawings. Got familiar with Solidworks PDM workspace (the vault) to manage 3D CAD files more conveniently. Created outline drawings for newly developing products. Created inspection drawings/models for existing mechanical, physical samples. Designed and assembled mechanical fixtures and components for Test Engineers and Electrical Engineers. Created drawings for laser marking specification on products.Wrote Solidworks API Code to automate sketching some simple yet repetitive objects in Solidworks.

Designed a mobile cooling system for electric car’s inverters, using SolidWorks to build the model assembly, and justified the design requirement by using Solidworks CFD Simulation. Designed and built mechanical/electrical devices, made for Dynamic Vehicle Testbed, using Solidworks.Created BOM for the mechanical systems as well.

Flow Simulation - Developing constitutive equations for Shear Thickening Fluids. Creating and running simulations in variety of flows to test the model, using MatLab.Using ParaView to present data, comparing the results of simulations to the expected results.
