I bring over 12 years of experience in designing and operating highly reliable, scalable, and secure distributed systems. I have a proven track record in leading cross-functional engineering projects, particularly in software deployment automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, internal tooling, and observability.At Immuta, I’ve led initiatives to build our global compute/networking infrastructure, rearchitected our application deployment processes to increase delivery speed, led enablement and adoption of Temporal as a durable execution runtime, and introduced robust observability solutions using OpenTelemetry.Previously, I served as the Director of Platform Engineering at WidePoint, where I architected a FedRAMP-compliant AWS environment and developed a plan for transitioning a monolithic application into modular, platform-agnostic services. Over the last three years, I have spent a lot of time with the Kubernetes API, particularly client-go, controller-runtime, and FluxCD. I’m a firm believer in the power of durability and portability – which is why I still write a lot of Bash.All projects that I've taken on have been done to improve efficiency or increase/protect revenue. In my mind, if you can't demonstrate an ROI for engineering work, it's too expensive to be wasted - both in terms of OpEx and opportunity cost.
