Responsible for the development and operations of more than 120 Life Insurance General Agency offices across Vietnam.

Oversaw sales planning, sales policies, General Agency development and management, and distribution support.

Led the development of a start-up in healthcare marketing focusing on connecting patients with top doctors and major private clinics/ hospitals in Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia based on the sharing-economy concept, leveraging website, app and call center services.

Managed all branding, communications, partnership development, sales promotion, sales support, and CSR activities;Created a positive public image for the company by acting as the media spokesperson and a contact point at the Insurance Association of Vietnam, the Ministry of Finance and the National Traffic Safety Committee;Supported and trained managers and staffs of other departments on Marketing and communication skills;Helped Liberty to become a successful early mover in digital marketing, social media and online insurance services in Vietnam since late 2010;Worked closely with Sales, Underwriting, Finance, and Legal & Compliance Departments on strategic partnerships and branded products (e.g. OCB, Techcombank, TFS, VP Bank, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Thaco, Mitsubishi, General Motors, Ford, and Honda, etc.);Successfully positioned Liberty as a premium and most favorite auto & health insurer, and maintained negative publicity at less than 1% of all mentions in the media;Worked as the Marketing Consultant for the rebranding project of Uni.Asia Insurance (now Liberty Insurance Malaysia) after it was acquired by Liberty Mutual Insurance and provided ad hoc marketing support for Liberty Insurance Singapore;Coordinated business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans between Vietnam and HQ.

Managed product development, branding & communications, agency policies and office network development;Oversaw the grand opening of the company and its first 2 branches in Hanoi and Daklak;Acted as a contact point for the Ministry of Finance and the Association of Vietnamese Insurers;Played an instrumental role in shaping up a successful new life insurer in Vietnam with effective product marketing and distribution development policies;Successfully developed and implemented a guerrilla marketing strategy using an annual Marketing budget of less than USD 200,000;Led various charity events as a way to build employee and agent engagement, while creating positive publicity.

Managed agency administration & training, product development, and an IT project worth almost USD 2 million;Launched the first motorcycle total loss and theft insurance in Vietnam;Developed information system strategy and helped saving more than USD 300,000 for the company during the acquisition of a new core information system and data center.

Managed 4 functional teams, including Agency Development, Agency Administration, Product Development & Management, and Alternative Distribution Channels.Actively took part in the restructuring, rebranding, and strategic planning processes following the acquisition of Bao Minh CMG Life Insurance by Dai-ichi Life Insurance.

Managed product marketing, research, communications, agency development, agency policies, sales contests, event organization, and partnerships.Developed, organized and trained agency managers on different sales and agent recruitment seminars across Vietnam.

Managed agency development, sales support, sales contests, and agency policies.Oversaw the processes of agency manager appointment, validation, and termination.Co-developed the most comprehensive distribution manual among life insurers at that time.

Developed and managed corporate relationships with business groups, Bao Minh and insurance brokers;Prepared Group Term Life POS, Sales Presenter and other sales proposal templates;Sold Group Term Life schemes to corporate clients, eg, GlaxoSmithKline, Sika Ltd. and Atlas Industries, etc.

Oversaw the development of a Group Term Life product;Worked with the project teams in Vietnam and New Zealand to set up back-office procedures and forms for the issuance and management of group life insurance policies;Involved in the development & UAT of a Group Life and Health Insurance Management System.

Developed, trained & managed 18 General Agents and about 500 Insurance Consultants from Quang Ngai to Ca Mau (working in Bao Minh offices); Responsible for 2/3 of Bao Minh CMG’s total sales at that time.Managed relationships with Bao Minh’s Branch Directors in the assigned territory;Organized local advertising campaigns such as Street Promotion Programs and cold canvassing sessions;Organized Product Launch meetings.

Developed and delivered the first agency and agency management training courses of Bao Minh CMG, now known as Dai-ichi Life Vienam;Built up the Sales Training Department from scratch.

Delivered various evening language courses to students of English major.

Developed and managed a network of more than 150 lubricant distributors and retailers in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City;Managed loan-to-the-trade contracts, below-the-line materials, and sales promotions in the assigned territory;Developed a comprehensive competitor database for the Ho Chi Minh City market.

Held different roles including Property Insurance Sales Executive, Market Research Officer, Joint-venture Project Assistant, and Assistant to Managing Director, as Bao Minh was developing quickly and lacked talents;Acted as an interpreter in various training courses provided by foreign insurance companies and organizations.
