From first discovering how easy and fun it was to manipulate HTML to make my MySpace the best-looking, most unique representation of me to designing my first full-stack, fully operational React App last fall, this has been quite the journey.In college, I took a year of C++ but decided I was a lost cause at the subject when my programs didn't immediately work (shocker) and my comp sci classmates didn't seem to like me asking questions and slowing down the class's progress (most of them had been programming for years and were bored). Math (my major) came easily to me, plus I enjoyed it, so I stuck with that.After college, I fiddled around with web development occasionally by making websites for free for some nonprofits I volunteered with. Over the years, I learned CSS and Flash (lol) and enjoyed the side projects, but I never felt compelled to go further. Until this past year...In March of 2022, I decided to move forward with learning as much full-stack development as I could around a full-time career job in education. I signed up for a 65+ hour full-stack boot camp (online) from Udemy and began to actively spend 6+ hours 7 days a week learning front- and back-end programming and loving every second of it. When I finished the boot camp, I began picking small ideas for sites and apps to build. A year, an international move, and a few other major life changes later, I've built several full-stack React apps and decided to take this full-time.Looking for projects in React and Node. Also interested in helping maintain, upkeep, and even upgrade/redesign currently existing projects. Skills include HTML/CSS, JavaScript/ES6, React, Node.js, MongoDB/NoSQL, SQL, UI/UX, Web3, Blockchain, and GIT/GitHub.
